The Edge of Love (2008)

Haven't written anything about a year now. Totally forgot my blog. Stupid, eh?
Anyway I totally like this movie : The Edge of Love. Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller are the gal's and Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys are the guys. It's so stunning and romantic and I love, love, love Keira's silly little welsh accent. in the beginning it's all so glamorous and as it evolves things get sticky and dirty and so on.
It's written by Keira's mother Sharman Macdonald who insisted Keira played Catlin (who is actually played by Sienna), but Keira took one look at it and realized she would much better play Vera.
The movie talks about Dylan Thomas. The characters are actually real, but the story is fiction with little pieces of truth kneaded into it.
Vera Phillips is a singer who sings in the Tube because of the war. it's 1940 and the war is full on. Matthew Rhys (who plays Dylan) is doing these silly little movie pieces and he thinks it's bollocks, so in a rush of bravery, he decides not to take part in that shit and concentrates only on his poems. He didn't go to the war as Vera's fancier did.
Vera and Dylan were childhood lovers in Wales, where they grew up. They meet again in a pub and talk a lot. Vera still loves Dylan and maybe Dylan still loves her.
Then Catlin (Sienna) comes to London and Keira is forced to meet Dylan's wife (who she didn't even know about).
Eventually they became friends and have wonderful memories together.
i'm not going to give it all up. You have to see the movie yourself.

Me, Buck, Lip Cream, London and NY .

Miracle lip relief cream for winter
I have this product and it's A-mazing. When I feel that my lips are dry or i have a laceration, (?) I put it on and it gets cold. It heals that way and when the cold feeling stops they're healed. One thing though... when you have ripped of the skin, that is dry on the lips, with your teeth it doesn't make the cold feeling.
I put it on every time when I go outside. It is perfectly invisible if you put a little on. If you squeeze the whole tube on your lips it looks like you have eaten too much whipped cream. It stays on white so there's a trouble when you don't have a mirror. In the end though you get the hang of it.

The Devil Wears Prada

Director David Frankel

Plot The movie is based on a best-selling novel by Lauren Weisberger. It talks about a not-so-fashionable girl going to work as an assistant for Miranda Priestly, the editor in chief of Runway (the top of the top fashion magazines in the world).

Cast Miranda Priestly - Meryl Streep Andrea Sachs - Anne Hathaway Emily Charlton - Emily Blunt Nigel - Stanley Tucci etc.

Genre Comedy, Drama

Year 2006

I think the movie is brilliant. The director and the costume disaigner (Patricia Field) have both worked with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis in Sex and the City, which is also in New York. The world, of New York, is filled with high-fashion, bitchy people, money, career and most important of all, beauty.
I love Emily in this movie (I don't say that i dont love Meryl or Stanley or any other caracter) because she is so "tired" . She is so nasty towards Andy and so precise about the details in her work. She worships the magazine and Miranda. I love the scene where Andy comes to Runway the first time and asks for Emily Charlton. Emily appears and says/asks: "Andrea Sachs? Great. Human resources has an odd sense of humour (chuckle). Follow me!" I think it shows you the attitude of the movie right away. Bitchy.
I really do recommend the movie. It's funny and glamorous. Soooo... watch the movie... and read the book too.

When the Beatles was famous and had a big career I wasn't even born yet. Still, I know a great deal about them. My ski trips with my family never went by without the Beatels or the Sparks. And even afterwards when me, my mum and few of my friends went to an Estonia trip, we listened to the Beatles, sang along and made dance moves to it. Beatles is a fenomenon just like ABBA, Queens, Metallica, Michael Jackson etc. Now, the more heard about "Beatle" (from the two how are alive) made a new album and a lovely song I just adore. I heard it first from VH1 and I loved it. The video is catching and watching the old bloke doing it with his very modern sneakers on is just fantastic. The song... it has very different harmony's and when you listen to it, you think that you know what comes next, but when the next choral comes you are surprised like, "Oh that wasn't the thing I thought would be!" Duh!!! A very big quete ...aahh whatever. Anyway that is my favourite song right now and I seriously recommend any Beatles fan to listen it.
